Brokers for AI trading agents US only

Can an AI agent trade on its own, or does every order need a human click? Every cell is checked against the broker's own docs (sources in the last column). Anything we couldn't confirm says Unverified. Verified on 2026-10-17.

As of Oct 2026, Robinhood is the only broker we've confirmed hands-on offers fully autonomous AI-agent trading (confirmed via Robinhood's official MCP connector, Oct 17 2026). Public and tastytrade also rate Full autonomy because their official AI-connector docs explicitly allow agent orders without per-order human input. We haven't tested either ourselves yet.
Automation levels (strictest evidence wins):
  1. Full autonomy (no human intervention): the broker's official AI-agent/MCP path is documented to let an agent place and manage orders with no per-order human approval.
  2. Programmable API (build your own bot): an official trading API can run unattended code, but unattended AI-agent trading isn't officially confirmed.
  3. API automated, AI connector needs approval: the regular API can run unattended, but the official AI connector makes you approve every order.
  4. Per-order approval required: every path needs a human to approve each order (none of the brokers listed today).
  5. Manual only / no API: no official trading API or AI connector.
